What is Cummins INSITE:
Cummins INSITE is a Windows software application that works with Cummins Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) to diagnose engine problems, store and analyze historical information about an engine, and modify parameters of engine operation. Cummins INSITE also allows you to download an ECM calibrations to working with Cummins INCAL.

Images and Templates
Beginning with INSITE version 8.0.1, images or templates imported from later versions of INSITE will be highlighted in the Work Order window.
For Example: If templates or images from INSITE 8.0.2 are imported into INSITE 8.0.1, those images or templates will be highlighted. When hovering over those images or templates, an informative message will be displayed.
ECM Image Analyzer
To open this new feature Right-Click on any image and select ‘Analyze Image’ to open. This can be used to view key features of an image and contains improved graphics. The current feature, or all features, can be exported to Adobe (pdf) or Excel (xlsx) file formats.
For Example: Duty Cycle Monitor will show a 3-D, multi-colored graph, and it can be rotated using the mouse.

1 General Information
1.1 Upgrade capability
Upgrade from INSITE 8.1.x or install as a new program.
2 New Base Features
2.1 Connect Window
Cummins Service System (CSS) users will be required to enter their Cummins
Service Provider Code on the Connect window.
3 New Diagnostic Tests
NOTE: This will only be displayed if it is supported by the calibration.
3.1 Aftertreatment SCR System Cleaning
This test has been modified to support multiple Aftertreatment SCR Systems on
supported applications. It has been modified so that it can initiate a cleaning on
Aftertreatment 1, Aftertreatment 2, or both Aftertreatment SCR Systems.
4 New Advanced ECM Data
NOTE: These will only be displayed if they are supported by the calibration.
4.1 Engine Protection Settings
This feature has been expanded to display the data for Shutdown Warning Period
(time for flashing lamp) on both the RPM Derate and Torque Derate feature.
4.2 Engine Protection
This feature has been expanded to display information when the engine experiences
a torque derate or shutdown based on the Intake Manifold Over Pressure and the
Low Temperature Coolant Intake Pressure.
4.3 Stop Start Service Inhibit
This feature allows the automatic stop start functionality of a vehicle to be temporarily
inhibited.
5 New Features and Parameters
NOTE: These will only be displayed if they are supported by the calibration.
5.1 Aftertreatment Mobile Regeneration Minimum Idle
This feature allows the engine idle speed to be controlled by the engine during a
mobile regeneration. This feature also provides a monitor that displays the desired
engine idle speed during a mobile regeneration.
5.2 Retarder Coolant Bypass Valve Relay
This feature allows maximum coolant flow to be redirected to the driveline retarder
during braking when there is a coolant circle bypass valve installed. This feature also
provides a monitor that displays the current state of the relay.
5.3 PTO Speed Saved on Power Down
This Power Take Off feature has been modified to allow the manually adjusted Cab
PTO Speed to be saved when the vehicle is powered down. When PTO is engaged
and the Resume switch selected, the Cab PTO will resume to the saved speed. This
feature also provides a monitor that displays this saved speed.
5.4 Engine Fuel Supply Pump Filter Restriction Level Warning Limit
This feature allows setting the Engine Fuel Supply Pump Stage 1 and Stage 2 Filter
Warning Limits.
5.5 Low Fuel Level Warning Configuration
This feature allows setting the thresholds and criteria that can trigger low fuel level
warnings.
5.6 Aftertreatment System Information (1 and 2)
These features provide the Aftertreatment System Part Number and Serial Number
Information under System ID and Dataplate.
